What is Scentsy?
Scentsy Wickless Candles are the safe alternative to long-lasting, highly scented candles. Scentsy warmers are electric and use a low-watt bulb to melt specially formulated wax slowly, maximizing the fragrance time of Scentsy Bars and Bricks. There is no flame, soot, or wick, making Scentsy safer than traditional scented candles.
Scentsy has a variety of warmers in different sizes. Warmers are available in plug-in, mid-size and full-size, making the perfect fit for any room in your home.
Scentsy Bars and Scentsy Bricks are the wax used in your Scentsy Warmer. Scentsy Bars weigh approximately 2.4 oz., while Scentsy Bricks weigh approximately 1 pound. Bars and bricks are available in over 80 fabulous fragrances.

How to Buy Scentsy
Scentsy products are not available in stores and can only be purchased through an Independent Scentsy Consultant. You do not need to personally know an Independent Scentsy Consultant or someone who is throwing a Scentsy Party to buy Scentsy products. Scentsy products can be purchased online from the website of any Independent Scentsy Consultant and the product ships right to you. For this reason, it does not matter if you purchase products from the website of a Scentsy Consultant who is not local to you. The only real advantage to purchasing from a local consultant is that they may have some stock available for immediate purchase.
The Scentsy Story
Scentsy started in 2003, when Colette Gunnell and Kara Egan shared enthusiasm for the idea of making candle warmers which melted wax by the heat of a light bulb to release fragrance rather than a traditional wick and flame. They created a partnership with this idea in mind and formed Scentsy.
Orville Thompson was at a home show in Salt Lake City, Utah when he was first introduced to Scentsy and immediately he knew that this idea had huge potential.
Orville brought home some testers to his wife, Heidi, and her mother and sister. He gave them the testers and left them alone. When he came back an hour later they were still smelling testers, laughing and sharing memories.
Orville was intrigued by how smelling different scents brought powerful emotions and memories to the surface, and how natural it was to share those feelings and memories with others.
Orville and Heidi purchased Scentsy from Kara and Colette, bringing the company to Idaho. Scentsy’s first home was a 40-foot ocean shipping container on Orville’s small sheep farm, which housed Scentsy’s manufacturing and shipping operations for several months.
Orville and Heidi decided to market and sell Scentsy products to consumers through home parties. On July 1, 2004, Scentsy signed its first consultant and officially became a direct selling “Party Plan” company.
Scentsy is celebrating its fifth anniversary this year and is a recognized industry-leading company. In 2009 the Direct Selling Association awarded Scentsy its highest honor available to young companies, the Rising Star Award, for its growth and commitment to ethical business practices.
Scentsy will continue to be a leader in this industry and touch countless lives for years to come.
